orange toes!
i’ve been rocking orange polished toes for a few years, but i’ve always wanted a truer, brighter orange (no pink, no coral, just straight up ORANGE). i hit up my fave neighborhood spa (element beauty lounge - they are friendly, offer quality service, and the space is comfy and cute) for a pedicure yesterday morning and was so psyched to find essie’s new neon collection, complete with a fiery, bright, construction cone orange.

mama mia i love me some sangria
on a sunny, sweaty day, i love a tall glass of cold sangria. white sangria, sake sangria, rose sangria, plain old red wine sangria, you name it, i love it. nyc’s boqueria makes a killer rose sangria with tequila, as a friend and i learned a while back, and i was just doing a little googling to find a similar recipe for an upcoming rooftop shindig, and what do i find? jeff diesel making the delicious drink on eat drink or die. YESSSS! *airhump*
- 10 oz rose (they use a grenache)
- 4-5 oz of gold tequila
- 3 oz triple sec
- 2 oz cranberry juice
- 2 oz lemon juice
- little bit of pomegranate juice
- little bit of 7up or sprite
- chopped fruit

i’m back in ohio for a few days for a friend’s wedding and to see the folks, and no trip to the greater cleveland area is complete without a fast food field trip to swensons.
a drive in restaurant with sweet melt in your mouth cheeseburgers served on buns toasted with butter, potato puffs (tater tots but better), and swirly shakes (key lime!) served by sprinting carhops.
